Activision confirmed yesterday that Geometry Wars 2, the sequel to the popular Geometry Wars: Retro Revolved, will be on Xbox Live Arcade this Wednesday, July 30th. Originally scheduled for release on August 6th, it has been moved up a week to come in at the end of the month.
From Bizarre Creations, Geometry Wars was originally just a mini-game in Project Gotham Racing 2 and later released as Retro Revolved to coincide with the launch of the Xbox 360.
Geometry Wars 2 will cost 800 Microsoft Points and will include new features such as head-to-head mode and 4 player local co-op play. There will be no online cooperative play.
