The E3 Media & Business Summit showcased a wave of top titles for all video game hardware. Here are the top 10 blazing hot games from the show.

Creative Assembly’s Empire: Total War carries a mind-blowing attention to detail to simulate new naval battles in the series. From cannonballs with specific velocity physics to 10,000 units on screen at once, the title looks to deliver a hefty dose of real-time war.
9. Project Origin – Xbox 360, PS3, PC
Monolith Productions’ Project Origin will take supernatural first-person shooters to the next level with freaky shootouts and stellar in-mech action. This long-haired lady is back with a vengeance.

Capcom Co.’s Street Fighter IV packs a whole new punch of depth with brand new focus attacks, dashes, cancels, and supers. The four new characters are spectacularly usable against old favorites.
7. Resistance 2 – PS3
Insomniac Games’ Resistance 2 looks bigger and better with 300-ft mega boss fights and more online multiplayer action, including co-op. The Hedgehog bombs are back to prick a brand new family of Chimera aliens.
6. Killzone 2 – PS3
Guerilla Games’ Killzone 2 is gorgeous first-person shooter that uses its beauty to relay action-packed warfare. The trailer that was thought to be a smoke and mirrors is likely to be a real hit in 2009.

Bethesda Softworks’ Fallout 3 lets players blow up things with a smile. The quirky take on truly destructive weaponry was all abuzz to easily be hailed as a highly anticipated action RPG.

Capcom’s Resident Evil 5 packs double the zombie action with a brand new two-player online co-op mode and a load of new zombies to kill. When a zombie is getting too touchy feely don’t hesitate to ask for help.

Nintendo Co.’s elementary musical extravaganza is perfect for Wii owners to make a solo or band debut. The auto-tune, no-mess gameplay ensures that no one will be plugging their ears when little Timmy takes a turn with the cow bell.

Epic Games’ Gears of War 2 was the must-have hit of the show. Another round of chaotic stop-n-pop play will more than satisfy fans of the first. The option to use enemies as shields and five-player co-op is enough to get any grown man sweaty.

Media Molecule’s LittleBigPlanet was the most creatively blissful title at E3. Up to four players can compete and cooperate in physics-based levels or custom-create their own to share with friends. The title is likely to attract both core and casual players with challenging platform play, custom-created levels, and social interaction among sack-based characters.
